Our Process

Here’s what you can expect when you engage Callen Design.

• Step one: You’ll visit our award-winning showroom

  We’ll talk about your project goals, share product information and our company story, and discuss your budget. You’ll leave with our Dreams Folder packed with information about your project

• Step 2: We’ll visit your home

  Our experts will conduct a Needs Analysis and an Interactive Budget Analysis. We’ll measure your space and take photos, and then talk about initial design concepts.

  

• Step 3: We’ll guide you through creative planning & product selection

  We’ll develop plans that meet your goals and budget, and help you select the right products from a variety of carefully chosen vendors we work with. You can preview your project with our computer aided renderings.

• Step 4: We’ll prepare detailed project documents

  You’ll receive your personal “Dreams to Reality” Binder that includes Final Plans & Design, Proposal, Product Specification Sheets, Warranties, Financing Options, Production Timeline & Contacts Information

• Step 5: We’ll manage your installation with courtesy and professionalism

  Our experienced, professional craftsmen will bring your dream to reality. Our project management specialists will handle a technical review, scheduling, purchasing, on-going client communications and any follow-up service.

Kitchen Design

At the Callen Design Group, we are very focused on balancing the two keys to good kitchen design, function and form. Our kitchen design staff will carefully listen to your ideas and dreams, and then create solutions tailored to your specific needs and lifestyle.

We’ll find out how many people cook and what they prepare. We’ll talk about other family activities centered in the kitchen such as hobbies, laundry, home work, or home office. We’ll consider the traffic patterns throughout the space, from doorways to other rooms, to outside entrances.

We’ll be sure that ranges are conveniently located for the cook, yet out of the way of heavy traffic. Dishwashers are placed so that clean-up is a breeze with plenty of dish and glassware storage close by. We consider the right spot for the refrigerator, where it is easy for guests or kids to help themselves, and close to where you unload your groceries.

With your new kitchen design, you will have everything you need right at your with fingertips. Convenient pull-outs, spice racks, knife blocks, cutlery dividers and other smart storage solutions are built right into the cabinets.

Each countertop area will be at precisely the right height for food prep, for snacking, for baking and for serving and entertaining.

Your new kitchen will be a pleasure to work in, not only because it functions so well, but also because it looks great. Good kitchen design means we masterfully
combine colors, textures, shapes and patterns of cabinets, floors, backsplashes and countertops to create a room that reflects your personality and style. We consider the lighting and details like the shape and size of moldings and hardware finishes so that the kitchen design is truly special.
