• "Just wanted to write a letter and let you all know what a great job everyone there did with regard to our roof project.  We discovered last fall that we needed a new roof.  We made appointments with several companies for estimates.  Callen was the ONLY company that came at the appointed time, brought samples of products and actually sat down with my husband and explained the job, the products that would be used, etc.  I was home on the last day that the roofers worked (and was actually babysitting for our 8 month old grandson).  I expected a mess, noise, pounding, blaring radios, loud talking and the like.  When the workers arrived, they exchanged a few quiet words, and then went right to work.  They spread a blue tarp on the driveway and laid all their equipment on it.  They climbed up the ladder with the bundles of shingles.  They used nail guns rather than hammers (what do I know?).  When they finished, they put everything away and actually swept the driveway, then went around to the back and swept the deck!"

• "It took us over a year and a half of research, interviews and recommendations from neighbors and colleagues before we decided to go ahead with the remodeling job.  Many of our friends told us of some terrible nightmarish experiences they had with contractors - change orders, up charges, difficult subcontractors.  These and other issues were many of the concerns people told us to be aware of when choosing a contractor.  None of these concerns were ever an issue with Callen Construction.  Our major apprehension was getting the project done in a timely manner.  We heard horror stories of remodeling projects that took six to nine months to complete.  One our colleagues had a kitchen re-design similar to ours that took from Labor Day to Memorial Day to complete.  Over nine months!  Our initial thought about the final completion date was it would fall within a two to three week window.  During our conversations with Jillaine and before we signed the contract, Jillaine explained that we would be given a production schedule along with a final completion date - plus or minus a day or two.  Soon after signing the contract we received a folder with a schedule specifying what would be done on a day by day basis over the course of the six week project.  That schedule was right on the numbers!"
