Phil Callen, along with his brother Tom, founded Callen Construction in 1986. Started as a family-owned exterior home improvement company, the company quickly expanded into an award-winning home improvement and interior remodeling firm with locations in both Muskego and Brookfield. Phil is proud of the many long-term relationships that have been fostered with remodeling customers. Michael Wood, CR, VP/Sales Manager
Michael Wood started with Callen Construction in 2002 in sales, was promoted to Sales Manager in 2005, and became the company’s Vice President in 2013. Mike is responsible for creating many of Callen’s programs, processes, and procedures, ensuring they give the best possible customer experience. As Sales Manager, his job is to train the sales staff so that you receive a consistent, thorough, and honest assessment of your home’s needs and, as a customer, have an advocate throughout your entire home improvement or remodeling project.
Mike is a National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) Certified Remodeler (CR). NARI Certified Professionals commit to comprehensive review and testing in areas of business methods and practices, ethical conduct, building codes and construction law, planning and building site layout, and all trade skills required in remodeling. Mike has committed to professional conduct and participated in intensive studies on a broad range of critical industry issues.
Brad has spent over 20 years in the construction industry with Callen. As a sales representative, Brad is dedicated to keeping current with knowledge and trends in the construction industry and utilizes his vast experience to provide his customers with the best products, services, and solutions. His experience and certifications include Certified Window Installer; GAF Master Elite Certified Roofing Expert; Vinyl Siding Institute graduate; Gutter Topper Leaf Protection System Authority; and an Infinity from Marvin Specialist. He also is a specialist in green technology and providing homeowners energy-efficient ways to update their homes. Brad had been on the exterior products sales team at Callen since 1988.
Christopher Wittman, CR, Senior Sales Rep. – Exterior Products
Christopher is responsible for the direct sales of all of Callen’s exterior home remodeling products, services, and solutions for many residential homeowners. He has worked for Callen since 2006, specializing in roofing, siding, windows, doors, decks, porches and Home Energy Performance. Christopher is a National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) Certified Remodeler (CR). To achieve certification, he underwent comprehensive review and testing in areas of business methods and practices, ethical conduct, building codes and construction law, planning and building site layout, and all trade skills required in remodeling.
Christopher regularly appears on WISN-AM 1130’s “The Remodeling Show” and also “The Milwaukee NARI Home Improvement Show” on Sports Radio AM 1250 WSSP. He also makes appearances on local television media regarding home remodeling solutions and contributes articles related to the remodeling industry to local print media.
Bob has over 25 years of experience in the construction industry and is an expert in advising customers on diversified exterior projects. He is certified in Mill Run solid core siding and GAF Steep Slope Roofing. He has also completed Infinity Fiberglass Replacement Window sales training conducted by Marvin representatives.
Bob enjoys working one-on-one with his customers, consulting on their project needs and helping them realize their dreams. He has been a Callen employee since 2007.
Lance Dahl, CR, Senior Sales Rep. – Exterior Products
Lance Dahl began his career in the remodeling industry 15 years ago as a commercial window glazier. He also operated his own window and door installation business for several years. In his current role, Lance conducts in-home sales of exterior home improvement products. He earned his Installation Masters Certification for window and door installation, is certified by the Vinyl Siding Institute, and is Lead Safe Certified in Wisconsin. Lance has also completed Infinity Fiberglass Replacement Window sales training conducted by Marvin representatives.

Adam has been in the home improvement industry for eight years, doing both construction and assisting customers with selections of windows, doors, roofing, siding, and gutters. “I’m an on-the-go person and I enjoy the variety of people I meet every day and seeing the changes they make in their homes,” he said. Adam adds that all the projects he works on are “special projects.”
Adam is a graduate of Minnesota State College-Southeast Technical where he earned a degree in construction management. He has also completed Infinity Fiberglass Replacement Window sales training conducted by Marvin representatives. When he is not at work, Adam likes being outdoors – hunting, camping, fishing, and staying fit. A native of Winona, Minn., Adam and his wife, Chelsea, reside in Pewaukee with their two Labs.
Dan Bast, who joined Callen in March of 2015 as an exterior sales representative, is a native of Two Rivers, Wisconsin who currently resides in Oconomowoc. With more than 20 years experience in the home improvement and remodeling industry specializing in windows, siding, and doors, Dan sees his responsibility when working with a homeowner as assisting with all their exterior home remodeling needs. This includes establishing budgets, product selection, design, and follow through.
His work history includes participating in a large Federal Government project for residents surrounding Mitchel International Airport. Dan assisted hundreds of homeowners with selecting specific noise reducing products for their homes to help alleviate sounds from low flying aircraft. Dan has also completed Infinity Fiberglass Replacement Window sales training conducted by Marvin representatives. Away from Callen, Dan is busy with two kids and a full-time working wife. “Between scouting with my son and my daughter’s active school life, I participate in the local Masonic Lodge and Shriners International,” Dan said. “As a family, we like to travel and enjoy many recreational and cultural activities.”
Paulette Sodemann, Senior Designer
With an associate’s degree in interior design, Paulette has been creating beautiful interior spaces for the past decade. Her studies have included building construction, kitchen & bathroom planning, interior lighting and color theory. She has taken numerous courses from the NKBA (National Kitchen & Bath Association, including residential Green, Advanced Kitchen & Bath Design, Designing with Color, and kitchen & bath ventilation.) She is also qualified to do commercial design and is a SEN Certified Designer (SENCD). Paulette has been a Callen designer since 2006. Paulette has been the recipient of 5 Wisconsin Remodelers awards.
Marie Vos Owens
A lifelong creative and design enthusiast, Marie is a SEN Certified Designer (SENCD) with more than 20 years of experience in design and construction. Marie joined Callen so she could redirect her focus from running a business to her true passion, which is creating and designing for clients, transforming kitchens, baths, and lower levels into aesthetically pleasing, functional areas. Marie has been the recipient of 3 Wisconsin Remodelers awards.
Jeff offers more than 25 years of experience in project design and sales. Specializing in full-house remodels, additions, lower levels, kitchens and bathrooms, Jeff has designed several projects that have earned gold and silver awards in the annual Milwaukee/NARI Wisconsin Remodeler of the Year competition, and one of his lower level designs was featured on HGTV’S “Bang for Your Buck.”
Doreen Schofield, CR, CKBD
Doreen believes that everyone deserves to live in beautiful surrounding, big or small, and has spent the past 20 years designing homes in southeastern Wisconsin. She gets to know her clients, their lifestyles, their needs, their wants, and helps them achieve a beautiful look that is entirely their own. Her work has been featured in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and presented in the MBA Parade of Homes and The Breast Cancer Show House. Doreen has been the recipient of 2 Wisconsin Remodelers awards.
Katie Yttri earned her Associates Degree in Interior Design from Milwaukee Area Technical College in 2009. With more than seven years of interior design experience, Katie is responsible for assisting Callen clients in the design and selection process. She helps determine the best way to incorporate what the clients need in the available space, with a strong background in tile and flooring products.
Lisa, who joined Callen in 2017 as an Architectural Designer, was born and raised in Kenosha, spending summers in the Upper Peninsula woods with her family. Having earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Architecture from the University of Michigan, Lisa has more than 20 years of industry experience. Her niche has been projects that involve aspects of interiors and structure, considering the function, architecture, beauty, and budget. At Callen, she designs kitchens, bathrooms, lower levels, additions, and general remodeling projects. She is responsible for project planning coordination, cost estimates, selections, completion of construction documents, and coordination with the project manager.
A resident of the Town of Cedarburg, Lisa enjoys expressing her love of cooking and food, with a specialty of Crème Brûlée made from the eggs of her own chickens. In addition to practicing architecture and design for over 20 years, she also opened and managed a farm to table restaurant and bakery. She incorporates this understanding with the needs of clients when working on kitchen and interior projects, designing spaces that allow homeowners’ to live to the fullest. Outside of the office, Lisa competes in cross-country endurance horse racing, tinkering in her woodshop on the farm, tending to her animals and poultry, and appreciating art.
Steve Turzinski, Project Manager
Steve Turzinski, who joined Callen in 2000, has served as one of the company’s Project Managers since 2005. In this position, he is responsible for scheduling, product ordering, cost management, and customer relations.
A Certified Lead Safe Renovator, Steve is registered with the State of Wisconsin as a Certified Dwelling Contractor.
In his free time, Steve enjoys traveling with family and participating in a dart league. He also likes working on home remodeling projects with family and friends.
