We understand that these are difficult and uncertain times for everyone in our Callen family. We have been trying to maintain as much of our business operations as we can while following the CDC and government guidelines. The new order from the Department of Health Services requires all individuals to stay at home or at their place of residence from Wednesday, March 25 to Friday, April 24, 2020, with the exception to operate ‘Essential Businesses and Operations’. Per their definition, the majority of our work at Callen is not an ‘Essential Business’, therefore does not allow us or our employees to leave their homes or residences.
Over the next few days, we will be working to complete a few kitchen, bath and window projects, as we feel these are essential to those homeowners during the safer at home order. Upon completion, all installation activity will cease until April 24th, after which time we hope to have new jobs scheduled.
As of 8:00am Wednesday, March 25th, 2020, employees that are able to work from home will do so, including our Leadership Team, Sales, and Design staff. We will be conducting business virtually, both with each other within our organization and with you, our customers. Many of our projects require ongoing planning, estimating, and Design time, and we feel these tasks can be conducted effectively at home.
Callen has always been at the forefront of using new technologies throughout our history, and this is another opportunity to continue pushing our boundaries and our business forward. We appreciate your patience and cooperation using these new systems and methods of communication as we navigate these uncharted waters.
