Coming off the holiday highs and with the recent snow and cold, some of us experience the winter blues.
Well, there is a way to combat those feelings. Experts suggest having a hobby, something to focus on outside of the daily grind of work and life. I have another suggestion, a productive one that I guarantee will cheer you up!
Complete a home remodeling project. Even a small project will give you something to focus on and look forward to. I often talk about large-scale projects like renovating the kitchen, bathroom, lower level, and even the recent entry-way project that Callen did at our home. If your house needs this type of upgrade, start planning now.
But, there are many other necessary improvements that your house may need and winter, specifically January, is a great time to start that type of home remodeling project. Roofing, siding, windows, and doors are all renovations the exterior team at Callen does extremely well and these updates will improve your home’s look and efficiency.
I want to emphasize that you should not be overwhelmed at the prospect of these types of exterior improvements. Plus, don’t think you need to fix everything at once. For example, we decided to start by installing a couple new windows. We loved the Infinity from Marvin Fiberglass Replacement Windows that we installed, so the next year we did a few more and this continued until all the windows in the house were replaced. This type of project can be very cost-effective and you will keep your home looking and feeling good.
Callen has designers for your home’s exterior that will advise you on the right products for your home. So follow my prescription for the winter blues – Call Callen – and put the wow in your home!
