Our Founders
Phil Callen, along with his brother Tom, founded Callen Construction in 1986. Callen started as a family-owned exterior home improvement company, the company quickly expanded into an award-winning home improvement and interior remodeling firm with locations in both Muskego and Brookfield. Phil is proud of the many long-term relationships that have been fostered with remodeling customers. It is his personal pledge that when you select Callen Construction for your remodeling investment, you will receive a quality project you will enjoy for many, many years.

Michael Wood, CR, VP/Sales Manager

Michael Wood started with Callen Construction in 2002 in sales, was promoted to Sales Manager in 2005, and became the company’s Vice President in 2013. Mike is responsible for creating many of Callen Construction’s programs, processes, and procedures, ensuring they give the best possible customer experience. As Sales Manager, his job is to train the sales staff so that you receive a consistent, thorough, and honest assessment of your home’s needs and, as a customer, have an advocate throughout your entire home improvement or remodeling project.
Mike is a National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) Certified Remodeler (CR). NARI Certified Professionals commit to comprehensive review and testing in areas of business methods and practices, ethical conduct, building codes and construction law, planning and building site layout, and all trade skills required in remodeling. Mike has committed to professional conduct and participated in intensive studies on a broad range of critical industry issues.
Christopher Wittmann, CR, Senior Sales Rep. – Exterior Products

Christopher is responsible for the direct sales of all of Callen Construction’s exterior home remodeling products, services, and solutions for many residential homeowners. He has worked for Callen Construction since 2006, specializing in siding, windows, doors, decks, porches and Home Energy Performance. Christopher is a National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) Certified Remodeler (CR). To achieve certification, he underwent comprehensive review and testing in areas of business methods and practices, ethical conduct, building codes and construction law, planning and building site layout, and all trade skills required in remodeling.
Christopher regularly appears on WISN-AM 1130’s “The Remodeling Show” and also “The Milwaukee NARI Home Improvement Show” on Sports Radio AM 1250 WSSP. He also makes appearances on local television media regarding home remodeling solutions and contributes articles related to the remodeling industry to local print media.
Bob Mamerow

Bob has over 30 years of experience in the construction industry and is an expert in advising customers on diversified exterior projects. He is certified in Mill Run solid core siding. He has also completed Infinity Fiberglass Replacement Window sales training conducted by Marvin representatives.
Bob enjoys working one-on-one with his customers, consulting on their project needs and helping them realize their dreams. He has been a Callen Construction employee since 2007.
Lance Dahl, CR, Senior Sales Rep. – Exterior Products

Lance Dahl began his career in the remodeling industry 20 years ago as a commercial window glazier. He also operated his own window and door installation business for several years. In his current role, Lance conducts in-home sales of exterior home improvement products. He earned his Installation Masters Certification for window and door installation, is certified by the Vinyl Siding Institute, and is Lead Safe Certified in Wisconsin. Lance has also completed Infinity Fiberglass Replacement Window sales training conducted by Marvin representatives.

Greg Kraemer, Exterior Sales Product Specialist

Greg Kraemer joined Callen Construction in January 2020 as an Exterior Sales Product Specialist.
He was raised in rural Jackson County, Wisconsin, working for his father’s advertising business and for his uncle’s dairy farm during haying season. Greg earned a Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee.
Greg has been in sales for 30 years, having spent the last 10 years working in the home improvement industry, first in ceramic tile installation and estimating and most recently in exterior remodeling. “I have always loved the people part of sales,” he said. “During my sales career, I have learned a very valuable lesson – put the needs of the customer first. Take time with the customer, ask them questions, listen to their answers and then based on those answers, recommend the best solution and products to satisfy their wants and needs.”
He has lived in the Town of Genesee for 23 years in a home he and his wife Mary Beth built in 1997. In his spare time, Greg is a huge movie buff who loves anything science fiction, including books and TV shows. Greg enjoys traveling with his wife and three daughters, camping, driving, or flying to locations all over America places where they can sit on a beach or go scuba diving.
Jason Hernandez, Exterior Sales Product Specialist
Jason joined Callen Construction in June of 2020 as an Exterior Sales Product Specialist. He brings a combined 15 years of installation and sales experience in the home improvement industry. Jason strives to give his customers the best buying experience and with his combined home improvement knowledge he has a great ability to inform and guide his customers.
Jason is native to Waukesha and is where he resides after moving to Texas to earn an associate degree in political science at San Antonio College.
A fun fact about Jason is that he is a ranked pool player in the Billiard Congress of America; he has been playing pool since he was 3! You can imagine that in his free time he plays pool; Jason also enjoys basketball, soccer, and is active with his 3 year old American Staffordshire Terrier.
DESIGN TEAM
Paulette Sodemann, CKBR, Senior Designer

With an associate’s degree in interior design, Paulette has been creating beautiful interior spaces for the past decade. Her studies have included building construction, kitchen & bathroom planning, interior lighting and color theory. She has taken numerous courses from the NKBA (National Kitchen & Bath Association, including residential Green, Advanced Kitchen & Bath Design, Designing with Color, and kitchen & bath ventilation.) She is also qualified to do commercial design and is a SEN Certified Designer (SENCD). Paulette has been a Callen Construction designer since 2006. Paulette has been the recipient of 7 Wisconsin Remodelers awards.
Marie Vos Owens – Senior Designer

A lifelong creative and design enthusiast, Marie is a SEN Certified Designer (SENCD) with more than 25 years of experience in design and construction. Marie joined Callen Construction so she could redirect her focus from running a business to her true passion, which is creating and designing for clients, transforming kitchens, baths, and lower levels into aesthetically pleasing, functional areas. Marie has been the recipient of 4 Wisconsin Remodelers awards.
Jeff Billstrom – Designer

Jeff offers more than 35 years of experience in project design and sales. Specializing in full-house remodels, additions, lower levels, kitchens and bathrooms, Jeff has designed several projects that have earned gold and silver awards in the annual Milwaukee/NARI Wisconsin Remodeler of the Year competition, and one of his lower level designs was featured on HGTV’S “Bang for Your Buck.”

Heather Brannan joined Callen as a designer in July 2018. She resides in her hometown of South Milwaukee, where she earned an Associate’s Degree in Drafting and Design with an emphasis in Architecture from ITT Tech.
With her lifelong passion for architecture combined with more than six years of remodeling industry experience, Heather truly enjoys transforming homeowner’s dreams into reality. “Based on information collected from the initial consultation in Callen’s Muskego showroom and a following home visit, I will create 3D designs, construction drawings and assist with material selections to bring those dreams to life.” she said. “After the project starts, I visit the project sites and maintain daily communication between project manager and homeowners to insure a smooth and enjoyable remodeling experience.”
In her remodeling career, Heather has won a Wisconsin Remodeler Award and a Contractor of the Year Award at the national level. She has participated as an exhibitor at local home improvement and remodeling shows and has been a guest on the WISN-AM 1130 “Remodeling Show.”
Away from the office, she enjoys spending time with family, playing sports, vacationing, attending concerts and festivals, camping, fishing, gardening and cooking.

Tom Lawler joined Callen Construction as a Kitchen and Bath Designer in April 2019.
He studied drafting and design at Milwaukee Area Technical College and Waukesha County Technical College. With nine years experience in the remodeling industry, Tom will work with and provide customer service and guidance to those renovating their kitchen and bath, overseeing projects to completion.
A native of Wisconsin, having been raised in Elm Grove and currently residing in Brookfield, Tom enjoys spending time with my wife and two children plus being outdoors golfing, kayaking, and camping in summer and skiing in the winter.
PRODUCTION TEAM
Steve Turzinski, Production Department Manager
Steve Turzinski, who joined Callen Construction in 2000, has served as one of the company’s Project Managers since 2005. In this position, he is responsible for scheduling, product ordering, cost management, and customer relations.
A Certified Lead Safe Renovator, Steve is registered with the State of Wisconsin as a Certified Dwelling Contractor.
In his free time, Steve enjoys traveling with family and participating in a dart league. He also likes working on home remodeling projects with family and friends.
Ryan Rieck, Project Manager/Estimator
Ryan Rieck joined Callen in 2000 as a carpenter for rough, finish, and intricate finish carpentry work. He quickly advanced into a lead carpenter role and has now been brought into the role of Project Manager/Estimator for Callen’s design group. In this role he coordinates remodeling projects from beginning to end, orders products for remodeling jobs, and is involved in safety and carpentry training. Ryan is Lead Safe Certified through an EPA authorized program.
Ryan unwinds from his busy days by enjoying many activities with his three children as well as recreational sports.
Amber Moll, Project Manager
Amber Moll joined Callen in 2016 as a Project Coordinator for the Callen Design Group. Amber holds a diploma from MATC for Architectural Millwork and Cabinet Making as well as a Lead Safe Certification through NARI. Amber was promoted into a Project Manager role in 2020 in which she orders project material, coordinates project schedules, and oversees interior remodeling projects from start to finish.
When outside of the office you will see Amber riding her motorcycle for recreation and as an MSF motorcycle instructor for Harley Davidson. She is also a racetrack coach for Road America and Blackhawk Farms Raceway. When not on a bike Amber enjoys hiking and learning about our beautiful National Parks.
Derek Harcus, Project Coordinator
Derek Harcus joined Callen in 2010 as a lead siding installer with extensive knowledge in various types of siding applications and other exterior home improvements. He has worked his way up the production ladder to his current role as Callen’s Exterior Project Coordinator. He oversees siding and other exterior installation projects from start to finish to guarantee homeowner satisfaction, and quality craftsmanship. Derek is a Certified Lead Carpenter, VSI Certified, as well as Lead Safe Certified.
When out of the office Derek spends most of his time with his fiancée and two stepdaughters cruising the Caribbean and traveling around the US. He truly enjoys tending to his four backyard chickens.
David Curtis, Project Coordinator
David Curtis joined Callen in May of 2020 as Replacement Windows Project Coordinator for the Infinity from Marvin Fiberglass windows Callen installs. In this position David is responsible for ordering, scheduling installations, as well as job costing. David comes with 40 years of experience in the industry and studied Business Management at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He is lead safe certified, historical restoration certified, and is past president of the Menomonee Falls Rotary Club.
David enjoys spending his free time with his family doing anything outdoors, as well as taking scenic Harley rides with friends.
Ryan Wojczak, Project Coordinator
Ryan Wojczak who joined Callen in 2017 started his professional relationship with Callen in 2002 as a painter & stainer subcontractor. Since joining Callen, he has acquired his Lead Safe Certification and has grown in his responsibilities, including being titled “stain matcher extraordinaire”. Ryan has advanced into the role of Project Coordinator in the painting & staining division and now also handles project scheduling.
When Ryan is off the clock, he enjoys hunting, fishing, kayaking, and playing sports. However, his favorite activity is being a father to a beautiful daughter.
